    To all members: Thank you.....

I had a little time on my hands so I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for Hammock Forums and all the great members here.
I have been using hammocks since the 80's but never was very knowledgeable about them until several years ago. I knew how to hang them up and climb in, but that was about it.

This forum has been a great resource for me as I learned the more technical side of hammocking, especially how to stay warm in winter, and all the DIY stuff that has helped me so much.

The members here are polite, knowledgeable, and eager to help!

    So - Thank you!!!
I like to go solo - off trail - immerse myself in the area - explore - eat really well - and make it back home.

I also wish to express my gratitude. When I decided I wanted to get a hammock a few months ago, I decided to get a Kammok Roo and a Feathered Friends sleeping bag. Fortunately, I didn't jump right in and even more fortunately I found this forum. I shudder to think of the money I almost wasted and how I might have missed how to enjoy hanging.

So, a huge thank you to everyone here for giving me the opportunity to learn from your experiences and start out with gear that I will enjoy. In the next month or two I'll be purchasing my first setup from cottage vendors and am looking forward to some very enjoyable time outdoors.

Amen. It's a great bunch of people.

After serious injuries I was really hurting. Finding this site two years ago picked me back up.

DITTO to the OP's comments! Helpful AND polite about it here. An example of what an Internet forum can be!
