My first big tarp was a Chinook 12x11. It was not costly, but, alas, it wasn't sturdy, either. The heavy winds we had a month ago, in central Ohio took its' toll on it, shredding it! I am hoping the Kelty Noah's Tarp 12x12 is tons more reliable, versatile, and durable, than that Chinook. It's also not hard on the wallet, but the larger Kelty may bust the wallet less than, say the Warbonnet Superfly I was looking at originally.

I have a Noah's Tarp 16 I uses for car camping. My Son and his girlfriend are going to double hang under it this weekend at the NEHHA Winter Hang. I set it up in the yard New Years Eve to check it out and its going to be very spacious it will provide allot of coverage on the sides and has doors. I does take some work to hang though.

Not currently, but it's pretty easy. You push a penny (or pebble or other small, relatively smooth item) into the tarp fabric. This creates a bulge in the fabric, which you then larks head your guyline to. Hope it helps!

Or you can buy the tarp pull outs from Dutch. they are around $8 for to and a come with shock cord already on them.

I just got a set and they really help with making more room under my HH typhoon fly.

also consider WL bullfrog for a slightly more transparent tarp, that lets light through.
