Really? I almost bought the outdoor thread which is 100% poly. What did Ramblinrev say?

Consensus is that polyester is the best choice for our type of gear and of the poly threads, Gütermann seems to be the best.

Nylon thread typically stretches and home sewing machines have trouble keeping a consistent tension while sewing. At least in my limited experience. I quickly learned my machine hated that thread.

About to attempt the same with a Kelty Cosmic 20 bag which I managed to pickup for a song during an Amazon lightning sale. Interested in hearing how it goes. Now I just need to find the time to sit down and wrestle with the thread injector...

The best deal I have found on Gutterman thread was at cleanersupply.com. They have the larger spools (that is, larger than what I have seen at JoAnns), it's listed as 1,094 yards per spool, for $2.49. They have a huge selection of colors. I don't remember what the shipping was for it but it wasn't too expensive.

Yeah. It took a bit to get it to work well. Once it did, I moved right along. I'll try the poly for the next UQ.
