lol I love it. Most of us here in the Upper Midwest got out the extra down blanket, threw another log on the wood stove and hunkered down during this sub zero cold snap. Shug heads out to spend a night in the hammock. Awesome. Watch yer topknot Shug and keep 'em coming. Hell we'd probably even watch you take down your xmas decorations I'm sure you could make it entertaining.

I'm going to go with a 12' ridge line because of the hammock I use.
I've found at least two ready available... the JRB Universal 12' x 10'
and the Wilderness Logic Old Man Winter.
Still looking.

Well designed and executed tarp Shug.

I really appreciate you showing us how your getting it done with a tried and true 7 yo tarp and not chasing the latest, greatest gear. Sometimes I fall in the trap of spending more time hunting down new gear than getting out and using what I got.

I do have cuben but this is my tried and true winter one. Thankee.

I don't know why the way you rigged up your tarp doors to velcro shut or the tops to open for ventilation isnt seen at any of the cottage shops.
Seems like a smart idea.

It seemed logical at the time. I do like it a lot and thought it could help keep snow out from the top. Thankee.

Shugapedia- very fitting! And the "Stay warm my friend" from Hawk-Eye made me think of that Dos Equis commercial with the worlds most mysterious man or whatever.

It's amazing that as many vids as you make, it seems that there will be a shortage of material, but, there never is. There is always something new. In this case, something old is something new again. Many a piece of new equipment out there, but, seems, we all have that first piece that just makes sense.

Jacket over the footbox (and feets) has to be my favorite Shug-trick. Finally I can keep 'em as warm as the rest of me on cold winter nights...

Do you us a Wasp on the other end or something else? I currently use two Stingerz with my Edge but when I finally purchase the CF Winter Palace, I'm thinking of purchasing new Dutch hardware all the way around.
