AR > Arkansas Ozark Hang 2015 - March 13-15

I am sorry that I missed the hang, but I had a death in the family and of course, family comes first. I might suggest that if you like this area of the Ozarks that next year you try White Rock Mountain which is just to the north west of Redding. It is high up on top of the mountain and you will not have to worry about rising water. It is a USFS recreation area and is on the Ozark Highlands Trail. Just something to think about. Glad everyone seemed to have fun even though the rain didn't cooperate.

Well, for the ones who didn't make it you missed one great/wet time... even though we had to move due to flooding we got to camp at a very nice remote area... no one around except for us hammock hangers... glad to see old and new faces. here are some pic's I took... https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1...02551834097601

It was definately a blast regardless of the wet conditions. Being my first real time out in a hammock i had alot of fun and learned quite a bit from smokehouse and all the other guys that came out. I will definately be out again and will he keeping an eye out for more hangs in the area. Hopefully i wont be sleeping under a walmart special next time and have a proper tarp to hang under.

I am a new member, so I didn't know of this hang. I am just curious how it went and if there are any big hangs coming up in Arkansas especially the northern area.
