Wanted to toss a couple comments in from the gear review. First off, thanks for the great review to Derek and the folks at Backpackgeartest. It's alway's nice to get good positive feedback. The Stuff Sack does have a slip knot that is used to tighten it, might have just looked odd to him and that is why he dismantled it. We opted for the slip knot vs. plastic to help reduce weight and plastic. The carabiners are tested to hold up to 1000 pounds, we put the "not for climbing" just because we wouldn't want to cause confusion and be responsible for a horrible accident. The biners are for relaxing and more than capable of supporting hammock weight.

    Thanks again for the review!

CHO - Thanks for the feedback! I'm really enjoying the Nano (thanks!) and I'm planning on posting a few photos to this forum tonight.

As for the biners, I wonder if you printed the weight capacity along with the warning it would be useful? Naturally, I was confused since so many keychain biners say the same thing. The slip knot on the stuff sack was definitely not what I was expecting, although after untying it, I figured it was probably intentional. The super-light 2-hole mini cord lock I'm now using (from Gossamer Gear) is trivial, but very useful.

I'll be sure to add this information in the Field Report.

Okay, I added a few photos of the Nano 7 to my gallery with more to come down the road.

This photo shows my Nano 7 with my new suspension system, which cut down the total weight to 7.65 oz (217 g). With my MacCat tarp, I now have a super shelter weighing just over 1 lb (.5 kg)!

Can you post instructions on how to tie/construct this knot? It would be a useful addition to the adjustable eye end of a whoopie sling to prevent the eye from getting lost in the bury. Thanks

Unfortunately we do know have instructions, it is just a simple slip knot with the ends cut and burned to prevent fraying.

I just got mine and I am about to play with it. THANKS BTW...

I noticed there isn't a suspension in the bag. Is this normal?

I love the "cord lock". I've got to learn how to make one of those.

Not an issue. I've got some good cord. I'm about to go hang it up for the first time.

I have played around with the cord lock knot after seeing it mentioned in another post. I used essentially a double overhand stopper knot on top of the draw cords. After cutting the loose ends I use a lighter to heat seal the ends and press the melted ends flat onto the knot. It has worked very well on the 5 stuff sacks i have put them on.
