Shipping takes place when the drop ends. The shipping style varies as well. Sometimes they will set up shipping like Dutch mentioned above. Other times mass shipments will come to them and they separate the items and ship to the purchaser which results in slower shipment times. Depends on the item. Also the drop end time can change. If it's a really hot item and they surpass their initial goal they may go back to the manufacturer and negotiate a lower price point for a higher quantity ordered. They will then extend the drop. I once purchased an item that had a 10 day drop. 2 days before the end they extended the drop by 5 days.

My empty wallet and desire for quality camping equipment would beg to differ. A 1 year old baby and a single income while I'm in college means that $1 counts. $2 counts doubly. It will literally take me a few months to save up the money for these at full price. It'll still take me about a month and a half to save up for them at a discount (which means I'll probably miss this deal) but things worth having are worth saving up and being patient for.

But, you know...your probably right. It's super unlikely.

I'm always up for a deal and do research and selective shopping. I'm in for clips now headed to Dutch's site for tarp bling.

    Gresh,

I've been where you're are now. I completed a full-time, 4 year program with a newborn and a 5 year old (4 and 9 when I graduated). I worked part-time, overnights to maintain health insurance. I know what an empty wallet feels like. By my comment I meant, when money is tight we make do without luxuries. When $2 is a lot of money, are really going to continue to buy camping equipment? I suspect you will delay your gratification until your education experience is complete and you've returned to the work force. Of course by that time, Dutch will be synthesizing clips from his own lighter-than-air/stronger than Amsteel alloy.

Good luck with school and family

Nah, I get it and despite how it may have sounded I'm not offended...sorry if it came off that way. I don't put things off until after I graduate (hopefully 2 more years to my Master's), it just takes WAY longer to save up my pennies to get things. Some monkeys don't just fall off of your back.

In the meantime, I'm waiting on TATO, Dutch, or HammockFan to start working with Aerogel.

Yeah, I'm still goin' it old school. I just mail Dutch $5000 US (In Ones and Fives) in a brown paper bag with a hand-written letter on linen stationery using a fountain pen. In the letter I just ask him politely to send me whatever is new.

Unmarked, non-sequential, brown paper bag (that will be recycled). Works every time.

Mass drop sounds about as classy as proposing to your girlfriend on Facebook and emailing her a Walmart Gift Card so she can pick out her own ring.

Of course I'm sure I'm just an old fashioned prude.
