The coldest I have slept in was 37 degrees in my HH Exped Asym. I use a 15 degree down mummy bag, TNF Blue Ox, which they don't make any more and a Thermarest Z lite 3/4 length pad. I dressed in fleece warmup pants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, socks and stocking cap. I didn't zip the bag all the way up and I wasn't cold at all until I got up. When I used to tent camp near freezing, I would hedge my bets with a couple of hand warmers, one in the bottom of the bag, one in a shirt pocket. They really help and weigh nearly nothing. You might want to pack a couple just to set your mind at ease.
BTW, how do you like the Montbell Super Stretch? I've been looking at those for a while now.

For the ground the MB SS UL cant be beat in my mind.. I know that some people have some issues with them but I can feel the heat when I get in and being a side sleeper it can really be a plus...

Pak-Man, What are the issues that these people have with the MB SS UL?

I think they look awesome. And it has full zip. Great for use as topquilt. I love my Western Mountaineer with full zip as a topquilt. If I were buying a bag right now, I'd give those superstretch bags a good long look.

I have heard everything from low filled baffles to issues with the thin material.

Now when you see this material upclose it is thin, but it is sturdy, and the zippers are great and i have not had a snag yet.

The baffles I didnt notice so maybe I got a good one. But for my wife and I we think that they are awesome bags.

Just watch the sizes only buy the long and reg from the US site.. the other sites have shorter regulations.

    Thanks

I noticed it was mentioned earlier in this thread that GG was out-of-stock. I just got an email recently that they have the 41x61x1/4 pads in stock again.
