Yes you can absolutely do that.

Usually not necessary to vent underneath. Think of the UQ as the bed, and the TQ as the blankets. You vent with the TQ, not the UQ.

I use my 0º UQ year round. Only thing that changes it what's on top and that barely changes as my 20º TQ is extremely versatile and easily vented.

HG or any cottage company quilt would be much better.

What if you had an REI dividend sitting around and the only thing slightly interesting was the ENO Vulcan?

If you like heavy, overpriced and underperforming, then the Vulcan is the right UQ for you!

You can request your REI dividend be issued to you as a check or cash. I would do that, and then use that to buy a Jarbidge or other non mass market UQ. Or technically your dividend refund doesn't expire for around 3 years - i.e. next year on January 3, 2016, dividends from 2013 will expire. You could just wait it out until you need something.

I'd rather have 30 cans of stove fuel or a couple new headlamps than an ENO Vulcan.

Ha! I find it funny that I was thinking about what to do with my dividend today. I saw the Vulcan online and thought about maybe taking a gamble. Then I reminded myself that KAQ would be much better than a Vulcan.

REI Eno Vulcan $140 and 30 ounces. Arrowhead New River $155 and 30 ounces. Without just the normal anti Eno bias these two look very similar. Can anybody add why I would want to pay more for the New River?
