if your doing something wrong, so am I. hat is exactly the way mine is. if you read some of the old posts, you'll see that the wall of fabric is about the only complaint out there. I just stuff my jacket, shoes or whatever up there. if i need to actually see what I am looking for, then I sit up.

Hey, CS...everyone fits in a hammock differently. I've got a BB, and I'm 6'1". I've tried different tensions on things, and I've got several "going to sleep" positions. When I wake up, I'm usually head feeling slightly lower than feet--meaning I've slid towards the foot end of things during the night, and while I was comfortable and probably in some different position when I fell asleep, I was certainly comfortable when I woke up. Point being, if you're comfortable, you're fine.

And 15's a pretty good age. Trade you. Sailor

the shelf will always be up where it is. it has to do with the width of the hammock, if the hammock was very narrow, then the "wall" would be shorter, but it wouldn't be as comfy.

One thing you might want to try is to reach into the shelf with your left hand instead of your right. I find that that it's much easier to get all the way to the bottom of the shelf if I use my left hand while propping myself up on my right elbow. If that makes any sense

It's that way for me too and I think I'm setting it up right. I've never been bothered by it I just sit up or roll on my side a bit to get at stuff with my left hand. I figure that's better than having stuff fall out of a shallow shelf on my head when I sleep.
