It is too late to pay now autolox. The "reserved sites" are full but you can put your name down for the "non reserved" list. There are three sites which the park keeps open. 6 hangers per site. I will be there thursday night and, If you are down on the "non reserved list" AND you PM me and get my number to contact me friday (17 April) morning and confirm that you are coming, I will rent the appropriate number of these sites, IF they are available. This way I will know that you are coming and you will know that I did get the site before you drive to Powhatan just to discover there is no spot.

Do not forget "Old Shenandoah," in June, and, even though it is not an ODH event, "Smoked Butt" in May. Smoked butt is near Raleigh and PSH and ODH are trying to have a good turn out and sort of "meet in the middle." I will be going, from Richmond, and can help carpool.

Dude, I was both Airborne and Air Assault and I was certified to do ground ops with medflight when I worked in EMS. I started out in search and rescue when I was a teen ager. Low flying aircraft get my blood pumping!

traveled to Raleigh twice per week for about 1.5 yrs - passed Umstead on every trip and never got a chance to check the place out....

I know there are probably better local places but I always enjoyed stopping through Smithfield's chicken & BBQ in wake forest - they got used to seeing us come through - even held out for us after hours many times...

Lol. I think I have been to Smithfield once out twice.
I neglected to mention the spreadsheet, on the first page. Just sign up there under "non reserved" and you can sign up for meals and all too. i am pretty sure you can get in. Just no promises. Lol.
