Lines for the tarp. If you got the "WinterTarp Accessory Kit $17" then that includes the "no tangle lines". They are strong, easy to see, and real easy to work with.
The 1st official review I ever did, on the review page, was the Pea Pod. Prior to this, for about a year, I had used the HHSS, and though I did no official review, I did have tons of comments and one or two reports of use and testing. Most of these reports were probably just part of other folks threads.
But here was one report:

Not that it matters now, because you are a Pod Person!
Also, besides from being more expensive even if I started without the warmest stuff that will eventually become necessary, hammock + tarp seems to be 20 oz heavier than Speer III + WinterTarp, which matters.
First I actually just guessed from the picture that it would be heavier and didn't check the actual weight up until now.
Maybe the PeaPod is easier to understand for a newbie. JRB has so many different categories for quilts, and in the end most seem to work for anything.
I love the speer hammock--its really simple, lite, and since its modular, very easy to customize to your situation. I especially like the fact that there are no tie outs, you dont have to worry about tripping over guy lines like you do in a Hennessy. You might want to check out Ed Speers book "hammock camping"--------lots of great advice etc. (it probably came with your order!--I especially liked the entrys from his trail journal in the book!) Good luck with your new hammock------have fun!
