Same here - Snake Skins for the hammock and a fishnet mesh bag for the tree huggers and tarp (and some extra cordage).
Roll the hammock tight and wrap with the spectra cord.
All this fits in the original HH stuff sack for storage, but when II go out I put the hammock in the pack and keep tarp bag separate and on top so I can put tarp up 1st if needed (or pack in outside pocket if wet).
    Here's what it looks like:

As you say, it's a tight fit but I've done it over and over with no real issues. I figure it came that way so it'll go back in.

I've also got a larger hex tarp, and I've tried carrying it in snakeskins. Not sure I like the snakeskin concept so far. I understand the advantages for fast setup and keeping a wet tarp separate from other gear, but find the package unwieldy in practice. I've not tried snakeskins on the hammock itself because the stuff sack works for me.
I have the DJ XL and have no problem stuffing it with snakeskins and straps on top into the Hennessy bag.

I pack my hammock (incl. tarp, lines, suspension, sleeping bag and pillow) into a 20L Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Sack. It compresses incredibly well and keeps my gear dry when storms roll in. When the hammock is up, I put my belongings/food into the dry sack and clip it around my ridge line/suspension to keep everything protected during the night. I have a growing collection of Dry Sacks and absolutely swear by them. Couldn't recommend a piece of gear more highly

Here's a shot of my Dry Sack hanging on the end of my Hennessy.

Thanks for the insight guys. I tried taking it out and wrapping the suspension lines around the bulk. It shrunk it down nicely. Now it fits in the bag with some space left over.

I never use the original stuff sack...Just slide on the snake skins, fold them over to about a foot long, wrap the suspension around it to keep it bundled, then strap it to the outside of my pack..

I put the hammock in snakeskins without the tarp. I roll it like a cinnamon bun and since I swapped out my stock suspension for cinch buckles I don't have much to wrap around anymore. I can store my hammock on top of my pack easily this way.

I like using snakeskins for ease of setup, they help keep everything together and not getting snagged on every little branch or debris on the ground! I use one set for hammock and a mesh set for tarp. They still get stuffed into their original stuff sacks then. I may try putting them in without stuff sacks next time and just coil them in the bottom to see if this saves any space!

My hammock is in one set of snake skins and travels in a drybag, tarp is in another set of snake skins and travels in the Hennessy stuff sack. I paddle camp so my logic is it's no big deal if my tarp gets wet if I flip my kayak but the hammock always goes in a drybag.

That's exactly what I do... or, used to do.
