    What does &amp mean? see it a lot and its not in the acronym page

    What does "&amp" mean? see it a lot and its not in the acronym page.

    I googled and found this

    "You probably shouldn't actually see & anywhere on the web unless you are working in HTML. & is the code behind the symbol & (an ampersand). There are many of these HTML codes beginning with & and ending with ; that represent special characters that could not otherwise be displayed on a web page. If you see this show up on Twitter, it is probably an error that occurred during a copy & paste operation or perhaps through some sort of automated post. Hope this helps."

    I think you can safely consider & as just an ampersand character ( '&' ) which got rendered oddly.

    Oh ok just see at lot here on post titles ect thought it was some insider code lol

    I don't see it at all on the acronym page linked in my signature line or post titles. I'm guessing a glitch with your (Canadian?) browser may be the cause. Actually I don't have a clue.

    Here is what that should look like.

    Hammock of choice:
    WBBB 1.0 & 1.1

    Looks like the & is being treated as code when inside a field like is in a profile.

    I frequently see this in the html bar for the web address for threads. If the thread includes an ampersand sign in its title, it shows up in the thread address as "&amp".
