First time in a hammock WBRR

So after hours of HammockForums creeping I finally purchased my first hammock. I forgot one minor detail about sleeping in a hammock. I needed somewhere to hang. After much deliberation the executive decision was made to screw some eyebolts into the studs in the living room. (She didn't even notice). Bam I was Hammocking doing it big right there in the living room. Last night was my first night ever sleeping in a hammock and I don't know if it was the hammock the newcastle or the wood stove but I slept like a rock. Woke up in the exact spot I fell asleep. Didn't toss didn't turn. I'm super happy with my decision on a bridge. I want to try sleeping on by stomach one night but I feel I need less pitch and not sure my walls can take it. ISO a pair of trees

Sounds fantastic! The WBRR is super comfy ain't it!

The irony of your screen name is not lost by the way. That gave me a laugh.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.

Congrats! I love my bridge hammock. A few extra ounces is totally worth it, IMHO. Still less weight than a tent!

If there are any parks around where you live, maybe they have a coule of trees you can play with...

Update. I took the 4" section out of the head end and used a pad. Slept on my stomach with no problem. This thing is comfortable.

How did removing the smaller section change your lay? I get that a pad will flatten it out but doesn't removing the 4" section negate that a little? Just curious as I just received my RR. Thanks!

Shortening the head end bar. provides more slack in the bridge. Therefore, lowering your head providing a flatter lay from head to foot. With the 4'' bar in and laying on my stomach i felt like my hips were the lowest part, in my head I would wake up with my back hurting. Removing the 4 inch spacer, laying on stomach feels natural.
