    Who takes their Dog?

Just curious who many of yall hammock camp with your best friend. I have a one year old Pit mix I do everything with and and definitely going to take her camping. She goes in the boat all the time and sleeps with me every night. I don't see why she wouldn't love a hammock haha. Curious on how any of you do it or pack for them. She has her molle service vest that I was going to put a bad on each side for things for her.

There was another great one I watched on YouTube just today a member here and his girlfriend and dog GREAT video he even built a hammock for his dog which hangs right below his. Somebody chime in with that one, please it was a terrific vid.

I am interested in taking our Border Collie, so I am interested in this also.

Cute pup, by the way. Is she a working dog in training or do you use that to enable to travel with you. I won't tell, promise!

My pup Tala comes with me on every single trip. Last year we hiked over 2,000 miles together and this year is looking to be even better. There's no one else I would rather be out in the woods with.

I have a lab and she loves camping with me. I have a ground tarp with a blanket for her and she lays under my hammock. There are alot of hogs where we camp and she lets me know during the night if something gets close. I always sleep better when she's there.

I don't take my dog overnight unless the wife comes with. The dog sleeps in her hammock. 14 pound Chihuahua.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Um, didn't you just get married? And go on a hike with your bride for the honeymoon?

You might get some slack because you've still been married less than a month, but get with the program, buddy!

    Newlyweds. He'll learn soon enough!

I have hiked with my dogs for years but our older dog just could not handle going on trips any more so last summer we adopted a rescue and we got her right out on the trail.

Since then she has put on a good bit of weight getting up to a healthy range and has been going on runs with my wife. When we got her a 1 mile run had her pretty winded but she has been doing 5 miles recently like it's nothing. Plan to have her out on the trail a bunch this next season.
