I'm new to hanging....but I'm definitely planning on taking my dog with me. I'm just trying to figure out the logistics of the situation though. First of all...he thinks he's a person...and second..if I'm in the hammock...he will insist on being right inside too. At 50 lbs and still going...I guess it's a good thing I got the WBXLC

I've done some short trial runs (indoors)...and believe it or not..we both fit quite well. I guess the good side is that I can go light on the top quilt, since I'll be wearing a dog!

I take my dog with me sometimes. She's small so her added weight doesn't bother me when she lays next to me in the hammock. She really enjoys going with me when we go camping.

I take my pup whenever possible. He LOVES it! Sleeps right below me. He'd prefer to get in the hammock with me but I couldn't deal with all the moving around and I'd be worried about the claws ripping my hammock and/or topquilt.

    Who takes their Dog?

Charli has become an integral part of my winter kit and is my best insulation.
Like most heat sources, she burns a lot of fuel, but she stays warm all through the night.

Let's face it, Shar-Pei's are basically top quilts anyway. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422517267.009198.jpg

She's allergic to grass, ticks, mosquitos, fleas, and most trees you'd want to use for firewood, but I just can't leave her at home. She loves the trail. I just have to stop by the Vet for her trail meds before we head out.

I used to bring my Chocolate Lab "Mousse". She would get so excited when she saw me get my backpack out, and learned that when I got up without the alarm, I didn't leave for 8 1/2 hours (work) and would flip out when I got anywhere near the door.

She loved to hike and never required a leash. She would sleep on my fleece jacket below my hammock.

I had to put her down on Oct 28 and miss her immensely!

I always like going SOBO; somehow, it feels like going downhill.

...and as it harm none, do what ye will.
