    This thread they say that the smaller the diameter the longer the bury needs to be. Couple of spreadsheets in there too. The first spreadsheet says the minimum adjustable bury on 7/64 Amsteel Blue should be 8.04.

    Arrowhead sells Dynaglide whoopies - I wonder what length adjustable bury they're using.

    I haven't made whoopies in a while, but I think most of mine are 6" fixed and 9" adjustable bury.

    I think the bury length is proportional to diameter, not inversely proportional. I use at least 9" for 7/64" amsteel and at least 7" for dynaglide. For my small whoopies in 120 lb. test spectra 4" is plenty. (These are for the end cords in my adjustable hammocks - 20 on each end.)
