"Winter gear" also includes proper clothing suited for the expected temps and other beneficial items like vapor barriers, weathershields, and proper tarp setup.

Last year at Mt Rogers, my Snugfit kept me toasty and it was somewhere around 8-10°.
Did you augment with a vapor barrier, a pad, or something else?

Yet hope someone else will have the pleasure of it and I won't have to figure out
how to fit it into the 'gear plan' ( budget).

Any winter hanging wouldn't be in upstate NY, but warmer southcentral PA or NV.

Have worked outdoors in numerous winters, sometimes in 10* or lower.
    Dressed to meet the weather.

Intrigued by hanging in 30*. We have tented into the 20*.
I'm tellin ya, if I wasn't currently saving up for a PeaPod, I'd snatch this thing up in a heartbeat. And I've already got one! It's a good price and an excellent piece of gear. While maybe not a 'winter quilt' on its own, it sure isn't far off. I know I'm a warm sleeper, but I'm not the only one that has voiced the opinion that 30 degrees is a conservative rating. Genuine Draft is a very cold sleeper, but has been in the 20s with my SnugFit below and my Rocky Mtn. Sniveler on top. It is one warm underquilt and easy, easy, easy to use.

I'd get off the fence before someone else jumps. You might be kickin yourself later.
    Trust nobody!

If I didn't have some other UQs on the way, I'd probably snap this one up too. The only downside to the snugfit IMO is that it weighs a lot for the amount of loft it provides. But I can't think of ANY other underquilt that would fit as easily or conform as well to the shape of a hammock. Great deal for sure - can't believe it's still available.

I'm assuming this thing would fit well on my Clark NX200?

The SnugFit universal model fits any non-spreader bar hammock just fine, in my experience.
