Which size MacCat for HH Exped?

Opinions on the micro or the next size up for using with a HH expedition? I was thinking the micro, but I'd hate to get it and want a bigger one....

You want a Macat Deluxe, accept no substitutes.

Thanks for the suggestion. Is the micro just too small?

The MacCat Micro is only 10" shorter than the Deluxe, but the Deluxe is 105" wide versus 60" wide for the Micro. Pretty much, the Micro isn't much bigger than the stock Hennessy tarp, which isn't a good thing. If you're gonna get an aftermarket tarp, IMO, you're better off going with one that has plenty of coverage.

Haha - some people love the Deluxe, but I've been completely satisfied with the MacCat Standard. Just depends on your style.

I may get a Deluxe in Spinn when I get to Colorado b/c it can snow in June at 7000' and most of my hiking will be ~9000', so I'll want a bit more margin of safety. But most of my hiking for the past several years has been in SC/NC/VA/GA and CA, and the Standard has worked great for me.

Don't have any experience with the Micro but I made a 5x11 DIY once and wasn't confident in its coverage.
