    Sorry...I missed that this was for an underquilt. While the ARGON is still a wonderful fabric, M50 (from Thru-Hiker) is more wind and water resistant. I'd recommend that for the outer shell of your underquilt if you don't use a tarp with doors, an underquilt protector, or a sock. The wind resistance is worth it. Unfortunately, it's more expensive than ARGON 67.

    HG uses Epsilon as an outer shell for their quilts. I own one. No issues with down coming through on that side. Ripstop by the Roll lists Epsilon as downproof as well.

    Just ordered a few yards of the seconds for a top quilt. Hard to beat $3.50/yd for any worthwhile down quilt fabric.

    Thanks everybody for the advice. I decided to buy a DD underblanket instead of making a synthetic quilt myself. I like it a lot. Thanks again.
