Newbie on hammock camping

I have recently bought a ENO hammock and have been very intrested in doing some hammock camping in the sipsey wilderness here in North Alabama. My question is what would be be a solid checklist to have for things I would need to take with me for a day to a two day trip?

Anything you would need for standard backpacking, plus your hammock, your tarp, and your top and bottom insulation. Really, the only thing that changes from ground-dwelling to hammocking is your shelter.

I'm not sure that I understand your question correctly, but if you plan on spending a night in your hammock (instead of a tent), you will need a tarp, possibly some kind of bug protection (e.g. a bug net), your top insulation (e.g. sleeping bag) and probably some bottom insulation (e.g. foam pad). Apart from that, just take what you usually take on your trips - just as FLRider said.
