Which side do you have your zipper on?

I am about to send my HHED hammock in for the #2 Zipper mod and I think I want the left side full zipper as you lay in the hammock.. but then I'd have to use my left hand to do whatever I wanted to, if I did the right side, there is that large wall that you have to reach over to get anything..

Argh.. Tough decision.. can you help a guy decide, which side is the most effective side? I would think the right side if you are right handed...

I vote left for the reason you mentioned about the nylon wall. You'd have to sit up and reach over; that sounds suspiciously like work to me.

I'm right handed but have my zipper on the left side because that's the side I sleep on.

Hmm ... I must be weirder than most people think I am! I'm right handed but put my zipper on the right side ... seems the most practical for me. Guess this is one ya just have to wing on one's own!

Right side helps with getting in comfortably the first time with HH lay, for me anyway. Especially with sleeping bags or pads.

Here's a few thoughts to help with your decision:
    1. Where will the bugnetting be rolled and tied up when not in use...will it be in your way? A Mod 2 Right puts the bugnetting when stowed on the left side, away from your feet.
    2. Do you use a sleeping bag as top insulation? If so, where is the bag zipper? Left or right? Matching the bag zipper side makes getting in much easier.
    3. Do you prefer entry from the right or left?

If you like statistics, my spreadsheet indicates for Mod 2's - 58 lefts and 68 rights...pretty close I'd say.

That's more than 2 questions. But I like the way you think. Go with the expert!

I NEVER even thought to match my bag.. that would really be a pain to get in and out opposite your bag...but having the netting on your feet wouldn't be that great either...

left...no right.. no left.. just kidding. It will have to be left as that's the side my bag opens on and I am NOT buying another thing for this...really.. .. .. . ok a large tarp would be cool...
