These are good tips. I usually try to avoid OTC sleep aids, but I do enjoy a cup of Sleepytime Tea and honey from my beehive...I'll make sure to drink some before my next hang. Thanks!

Try some Melatonin....small dose...should give you a more natural rest
I just stick some earplugs in and that helps me more than anything. I tried the Sleepytime (good stuff) and if I drink anything like that before bed (even in the house) in a couple of hours I have to get for a wiz and then have trouble getting back to sleep. So it is earplugs for me.
It also takes me ac couple of nights on the trail to find the sweet spot in the hammock for some reason. I will hang in my bedroom for a couple of nights prior to a trip and that seems to help a lot.
