So is there a new date? I had planned on being there next month, but may move it up to join ya'll. Are you still planning Talihina to winding stair?

It was scheduled for this weekend, but weather has delayed it to next month. March 20th-22nd. Section 1 of OT(Talihina to winding stair).

The weekend of March 20-22 is the best for me, I think Hambone also. We are going to the Arkansas Hammock Hang the weekend before. I have the okay from my wife and have put in for the PTO. I don't see any reason I can't go then. Sounds like there's some good interest in this trip. Makes me even more excited.
If possible, I hope everyone here can make it to the hang also.

Stray1, it was a lot of fun last year but the weather turned bad Saturday (@ 6" snow) so my wife and I (and 90% of the others) left early. This camp site is easier to get out of if the weather turns bad. Hope you and your son are there.

Okay, so the new date is 3/20. I'm hoping to make a trip to Frisco that week for a birthday celebration but if that doesn't happen this is definitely my thing. The SF trip may be too costly while trying to save for a wedding anyhow : )

I cannot make it that week. If I go then, it screws with the trip I have the weekend after easter, so sorry guy, I have to back out. So I will just stick with my original plan of easter weekend through the following thursday. Give us a good trail report and hope you enjoy.

Okay, this is the week. How many do we have? I talked to Zac this weekend at the Arkansas hang and he thinks he'll meet us Saturday morning. He said we should leave a cache of water for both nights.
Looking forward to finally getting in the trail. Hope everyone posting can make it.

I will be there Friday night to start Saturday morning, probably at Deadman's Gap.

Great, If y'all can meet Friday night then meet me at Deadman's Gap Saturday morning would be super. Hopefully the weather clears up quick. I've been watching it and it changes every minute.

Og, according to OuachitaMaps.com there looks to be a decent campsite with water at the 7.3 mile mark. Deadman's Gap is at 7.9. It may be a good option for Friday night.
