I needed a bug net to get ready for summer, and I liked the ease of Fronkey's design. I didn't like not being able to leave it in the Black Bishop Bag if I wanted to, though. So I came up with this twist. It's probably been done before, but I couldn't find an example.
Here's the Fronkey on my hammock:

Here's the Fronkey half-way on. I just left a hole that I can shut with some cord and a cord lock.

Lastly, for winter camping, I decided to try a sock. I had a bunch of left-over ripstop from Walmart and a small amount of nanoseum, so I thought, "Why not?"

I sort of made it up as I went along. I'm impressed by the added warmth. In my 56 degree basement, it's almost enough by itself to keep me cozy. I didn't realize how warm it was inside the sock until I opened it to get out and felt the blast of cold air. It needs tie-outs or something to keep if farther off of my face. But then again, I might also put some Velcro tabs along the window so I can shut it on those really cold nights. I'll have to play with it and see how much condensation I would get. Any advice about that?
