    Water: Bring enough to make the hike (maybe one or two liters) stream is at the campsite, you can filter water, a few of us have a waterproof bag attached to a Sawyer Water filter.

    Yes. We lost our dear friend yesterday while hiking in linville gorge. I will not go into details here. I will say he was with his friends doing what he loved in one of his favorite places. Either Loki or I will be starting a separate thread by this evening. If you would please direct all comments there so as to separate those from the JRH thread. We will be passing along the content of that thread to his family

    I've had a couple PM's asking if the JRH will still be happening. YES teh Hang will go on as scheduled. HB, Loki and I Discussed it and know that Mike would have wanted it to. I look forward to seeing all of you in July!

    I am still very much looking forward to this hang. There is no reason for it to not occur. Certainly it will be odd without RF, but there are hangs that people cannot make. There are their in our hearts. This is similar.
