the adj. webbing suspension (especially with the new buckles) is as easy as it gets. probably 4 oz or so heavier than the line/strap or a whoopie, but 4 oz doesn't seem to matter that much to alot of folks, some it does, and those folks use a line based suspension. the stock line/tree strap susp is even lighter than a whoopie suspension (if materials used are the same). still need to try one out (whoopie) and see how well the adjustability part works. 4oz aint no thang for me though (i'm strong like bull). i like the adj webbing even more so now with the new buckles and no backup needed.

yea she got the mint-which is i think better looking, You have a good memory WBG. 4oz does matter to me lol, kinda ul fanatic..to an extent. If i was truly ul i would not even have a hammock, i would use a tarp. However, i am ultralight with comfort, thats how i describe my style.

which suspension system is recommended when ordering a BB? probably going to order one in the near future. and being 250# I will get the 1.7 dbl. for good measure.

I'm 6'1" 255# and I went with the 1.7 dbl on Brandon's advice - I'd drop him an email and ask the master....

alot of times my recommendation is based on a person's needs. i might recommend the double 1.1 to a 230# person looking to go light and the double 1.7 to a 230#'er who isn't.

there is a new chart on the website that gives a max recommended weight but also a rating if you're looking for max comfort.

So Brandon, are these new buckles the ones you had custom-made? How much would it cost if we wanted to order a set for ourselves? I like the triangle rings but am always experimenting.

For those interested in weight...

Just got my Blackbird double layer 1.1 with the new buckles and webbing suspension. It weights 31.5 ounces in the stuff sack without any carabiners. The 3 season Yeti with stuff sack weighs 12.3 ounces.
