    DIY gram weenie tarp tensioner

Has anyone come up with a very light method of tensioning their tarp that you would like to share?
    cheers

I'd qualify more as a cheapskate than a gram weenie, but here are a couple things I've tried.

Scünci hair ties with mason line are light, though weak:

You can also do this with cross sections of bicycle inner tube, Also works with the plumber's O-rings that fin came up with. Both tend to be stiff, with limited stretch, and tend to recover somewhat slowly once stretched.

In this pic you can see cross sections of bicycle inner tube, cut on the diagonal for greater length:

    Cheers!

Take a look at this thread: Cheap, easy tarp tensioner. Looks like Fin has yet another great idea. I've already purchased the parts. Now I just need to put it together.
