Hey guys I just wanted to share my own experience with the hammock anchor suspenssion and I'm not saying this to bash it at all I liked the thought of them and the eas of use although I tryed a pair and after about ten nights of using them they dropped me on the ground so I contacted the company I had ordered them from and they has gotten back with me the next day asking me what I want because they wanted to make it right, so I figured I would give them another try incase I got a bad pair somehow so soon after I got another pair of hammock anchors and set it up and after the first night of using them they broke and dropped me in the mud lol (hammock gear incubator seems to be mud resistant so I contacted the company and they gave me a refund the next day they have great costermer server and I feel like this hammock anchor idea is a great idea and they are onto something just needs a little more TLC I'm about 5 9 and 150lbs.

was the breakage due to compression or was it cutting/fraying the amsteel,I have some and all I have seen so far is a little bit of discoloration on the amsteel ?

Also there is a right way and a wrong way to set the anchor. The wrong way will bend it. I'll see if I can find the video link.

No the anchors them selves are in perfect condition I set everything up correctly. I'm not sure if it would be considered compression or just fraying but their was obvious fraying on the amsteel.

I've got a pair that I used two nights on a Warbonnet Ridgerunner and they worked very well. I'm 250 lbs. I would be curious to see how you had it set up.

Pinch the hammock end to tighten and the tree end to loosen. You'll get it, don't worry.
