couldn't help but notice the obscure reference to a cultural dining experience in south Jersey- my old stomping grounds.

I do like eating but I have never been to the diner! The name Ongs Hat is a reference to the trail head of the Batona Trail. It was my first over night hiking trip and also marked a turning point for me.

Moving to NC in a week going to miss the food here in Jersey especially porkroll and scrapple

before you leave you'll want to get over to the trenton farmer's market and get a big ol' honkin' "FRESH" porkroll to make "REAL" hamburgers with! dang, now I made myself hungry, and I'm two thousand miles away from the stuff today! (and good tomato pies and bagles, and .......)

but on the new cinch buckels, ohhhh, I love them!

Got my BB on Saturday (in less than a week!) and it has the new cinch buckle like the pictures in this thread. No slippage overnight, fast and easy adjustment and, it may be me but they seem much lighter than the cinch buckles on my other hammocks. I love 'em.

One of the first things I did to my BB was to change the tri rings to cinch buckles. I didn't like the tri rings at all. Really hard to loosen. The cinch buckles weigh 2 ounces each, and well worth carrying especially if you have a ROLLER PACK.

Yea i guess rollerpacks are a great counter to "ultralightness". It really does'nt matter what you take because you cant feel it lol. With a roller pack i would have a body + pack poncho, rain pants and jacket, like 5 pairs of underwear and socks, my msr filter + my gravity system (to have a backup), my giant hunting knife, and way too much food. Someday i may convert to these, but i wanna give the aarns a few years of testing first.
