    Mine had a funny odor as well, almost fishy. It went away after hanging in my closet for a week or two.

    I'd just return it and get a new one. Then you can be confident the smell won't come back if it gets hot or humid. I have never had any issues with HG products (except that they spoil me for other companies' work).
