ALL THE VARIOUS WAYS TO ATTACH YOUR HAMMOCK

    Can anybody help me?

I found a thread on this site the other day which had a video showing all the ways you can attach suspension to your hammock while keeping or utilizing the continuous loop on the end of the hammock.
ie buckle and strap. carabiner and whoopie and so on, it also showed some good knots.

I though I had book marked it but now cannot find it!

    Any leads appreciated.

I have never tried it with amsteel,I think it might be to slippery ,but not sure . I am using the Dutch speed hook at the moment ( still waiting on 2.0 ) but I have used the marlin spike hitch a lot with straps ,I would like to know the answer also

You can use the old Speed Hooks as Whoopie hooks as well. Just make sure the contiuous loop is all the way in the hook. Been using them like this since January they work great!

I have tried both but they slipped. The becket hitch might work if one could put a toggle strong enough in the bite of the knot to keep it from pulling out.

the toggle method in the video only has load applied to the end attached to the strap. The amsteel was so slippery i could see it pull the other end right up and around the toggle and out the knot as soon as i sat on the hammock. But he says he used it for a 50 mile hike so I'm wondering if he backed this up with another knot to get it to work. This would be a nice back up method if you had a whoopie sling blow out during a trip if it worked.
