    La Cloche Silhouette - May 4 2015

Heading to La Cloche Silhouette on May 4 2015 to do the entire loop in 4 days!
The plan is about 20 KM per day including Silver Peak

I've done sections of this trail before so I know what I'm in for.

If there's any of you guys that are up for the challenge and want to join shoot me a PM.

i hope to do this loop next year Lofty,... are you going to write a trip report? pictures and or gopro the trip,... I'd be interested in hearing about it when your done,... Killarney is my favourite place. I did 19km in a day with my wife last year 6 of which were canoeing from our campsite to Silver peak trail head,... I was exhausted.

    La Cloche Silhouette - May 4 2015

    Itinerary

I used Jeffs map for time estimates. The times I've been before ( just in and out trips ) I was really close to his posted times.

    Day 1 - Arrive 10:00 - Trail Head 11:00AM
    George —> H18
    22.3KM - 7 hours 5 min

    Day 2
    H18 —> H35
    21.7KM - 8 hours 35 min

    Day 3 With Silver Peak
    H35 —> H47
    16.3 - 6 hours 20 min

Day 4 ( added 1KM estimate back to parking )
    H47 —> George
    16.8 - 6 hours 5 min

    Total - 77.1 KM - 28 hours 5 min

    Sunrise / Sunset
    May 4 - 6:09 / 8:36
    May 5 - 6:08 / 8:38
    May 6 - 6:07 / 8:39
    May 7 - 6:05 / 8:40

Hope for some warm weather soon. I could see parts of the trail being quite treacherous if there's still snow and ice on the ground.

Is the 4 days because that's what you have time for or are you wanting the challenge?

I wish I could join you as well. That trail is on my to do list but I have a slow pace and I would need to do it in a week. Have fun and looking forward to a report with pictures.

Good luck on your trip. I've done the trail before and that's a pretty lofty goal including silver peak . Would personally take more time just to enjoy the scenery. I've never stayed at H47 but H48 proulx Lake is amazingly beautiful with crystal blue water

Have a great trip! I love that trail. I agree with Windtech...it's too beautiful to rush through! Here are some pics from when I hiked it a few years back

Sounds like a great, albiet fast paced, trip. Come early May, I'll be in full trout mode! I'd love to do that trail in the warmer weather over a week or so though.
