after the Station Camp section you're hiking along the big river for awhile and then it cuts west across the ridge just short of Big Island heading over towards No Business Creek. about halfway in between where you leave the big river and No Business is where you'll find the crack. (the Tennessee Landforms page has it marked: http://tnlandforms.us/bsf/)
I'm having trouble remembering if it's off on a spur trail or if the JMT/ST goes right by it. if it is off the thru trail, it couldn't be more than a quarter mile off.
if you do head over there, definitely make the climb up through the crack... you can't even see all of it from the bottom it's so big. at the top you can see another big crack in the ridge to the left. it's a really impressive formation.
