    Overfill for a Lynx?

Lynx owners? I'm getting ready to order a 3 season Lynx, has anyone ordered overfill in their Lynx? How's the loft as is for a 20 degree UQ or even a Winter zero dgree? At $15 an ounce, would I be better putting that toward a 2QZQ UQ protector? Thanks.

I have a 0* Lynx with 3oz overstuff. I'm glad I did, IMO to me you can't buy more warmth for the weight than down so why bother trying. My theory with bottom quilt insulation is to put as much in as you are comfortable carrying

I have a 0* full length winter Lynx and I have 3oz of over stuff in it. It gets me down to about -5* I would go for it depending on your locations temp range.

As to the question to the underquilt protector is that it won't necessarily lower your temp range as much as protecting it from losing heat from convective heat loss. ie. Wind.

I would say that my 20 degree Lynx (without extra down) has more down in it, and more loft, than my 20 degree Burrow top quilt (also with no extra down) from Hammock Gear. So, between those two companies, I would add extra down to something from Hammock Gear before I would bother to add it from Warbonnet. Obviously, YMMV...

I have a lynx 20 with no overstuff and I've been into the mid teens with it comfortably.

My lowest temps to date were mid teens. I started off using my 20 deg +1 oz Incubator but it wasn't fitting as well as it does on a gathered end and my back was way too cold so I added a cheapo CCF pad and was warm through the night. In fact, the only cold part of me was when my arms touched the inside of my sleeping bag (yeah, saving for a TQ). I guess I don't want the down to shift or thin out over time as well as, keep my sissy butt warm.

I've had my 0 deg +3oz down to -7f. Warm and toasty :-) Glad I purchased the extra down. It's stuff pretty solid.
