I plan to be there. However, I will be on the ground. I am testing (and enjoying) the AntigravityGear TarpTent.

Going to get my first taste (smell would be more appropriate) of the AT community. Can't wait to see all the things I'm doing wrong while learning to let go of my tent from all you "hanging" pros.

Sometimes it is better to know, than to know better.

I am having fun learning about the ground again. Learning how to sleep on the ground is like learning how to sleep in a hammock. It takes some experimenting and some patience.

For the moment, my pack weight for an overnight, expecting lows in the 50s, is right at 10 pounds, including water and food. THat really is a "forget it" pack weight.

However, longterm I will end up back in the trees.

Yea, I am now on the edge. The money I had set aside for traildays went to getting breaks on my car, & then, , , , well $3.19 (& rising) a gallon for gas, nuff said.
