attroll, it seems quite a few groups have asked Local to hold certain areas. The directions you mentioned sounds like the area the folks from TT have "reserved".
That is the same area he is reserving for us. He said it is a pretty big area. What we need is someone to get there first and get our area setup before someone else moves in.

If anyone remembers last yr there wasn't a quiet area anywhere in tent city.

the term quiet area/camprounds at Trail Days is very misleading
You are right. Local is calling it a quite area but I am sure it will not be quite in that area and we will be able to hear others. The intension is that those that are in that area are suppose to be quite and the area will be away from everything else so it will be a little more quieter.

I am guessing you have never been to tent city at night

the drum area is around the huge fire pit/ring. They have quite a few drummers playing and the hikers dance around the fire until early in the morning. It can get interesting with all of the hikers drinking and dancing. Usually the fire ring is a mud pit by Sat night esp if it rains like normal. You will find hundreds of folks hanging out there to watch and to join in.

I have some pics of them dancing on my webshots albums from the last 2 Trail Days. I use the same name on webshots as I do here.

Looks like enough room for us. We should be nice and cozy.

I am going to have to remember the head phones in order to sleep at night.

I thought I was going to be able to go, but I know I won't be able to make it. You guys have fun and be sure to take LOTS of pics of the new JRB and Speer gear.
