Ill be there Friday for the day but wont be staying the night. I have managed to talk the wife into coming. Who knows, maybe she will find a hammock she likes? See you all there Friday. BD
Just Jeff made me do it
I will be leaving here at 3 pm Wednesday afternoon and driving non stop and should be arriving Thursday morning sometime.
See everyone Saturday morning at the WhiteBlaze get together at the camp ground at Mala's place.
Was going to leave this afternoon but ended up handling some inclement weather here in Michigan. While I am retired from my regular job of thirty years now for the past 17 months I still maintain my volunteer work in the state of Michigan, Emergency Management/Homeland Security and NOAA NWS Detroit/White Lake.
My manager for the MWS passed away last weekend quite unexpectedly after being diagnosed back in March with Amilyodosis (SP?). He had gone to Baston for some further testing at a clinic there to see about some experimental stem-cell therapy which might have helped him. As it was he once diagnosed only had 18 to 24 months to live according the doctors.
Anyway it left a void that has not been easy to fill and today I had to fill it for a few hours.
I am looking forward to having someone in place to take his place and once again free me up to do my thing and I should be able to attend the Hot Springs SEHHA June 8-10.
Everyone who is going enjoy and come back home safely.

sorry to hear that TOG. but we appreciate people doing that kind of work & looking out for us.

Here is a link to a WB thread from local about a Jeep that got stuck in the new quiet area. Not sure if it is the same we are using or not.

Here is a link provided on WB for the weather. Looks like nights could get chilly. 45 deg on Thursday night and 40 deg on Friday. With rain expected Thursday night into Friday. Perfect weather to hang in.
