    Te-wa vs. Yeti

Still debating the right UQ for my Blackbird. Had been leaning towards another Snugfit, or full-size of that sort. But I am more and more leaning towards a shorter UQ. Love Brandon's stuff, and I am sure the Yeti would be just as great as the BB and Superfly. But I have been reading about the Te-wa as well, and wondered if there were some opinions/comparisons of these... Or any other thoughts/recomendations....

I have a te-wa UQ and TQ. Love them both. Craftsmanship is excellent and it is toasty warm. In North Carolina two weeks ago, I barely needed any top insulation despite temp's in the 50's.

When you did the hang in NC, did you use a pad in the BB along with the Te-wa?

Another Te-wa user here. It's been a great UQ, and an amazing amount of loft for 12.65oz. It's kept me very toasty down into the 30's. I always use a CCF for the foot area. In the summer months a GG sitlight pad was sufficient.

each one is around 12oz, they will both keep you warm down to 30's or so, tewa has a summer version-dont know if they have a winter, WB has both summer and winter, go with your gut.

It's my understanding that they have different lengths. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

From the original post, the Yeti is roughly 40w x 46L. Shoulders to heiny.
Te-wa underquilts are longer: 40" by 52". Head to heiny,

The biggest difference to me is the suspension set-ups...
The Te-wa uses a fixed length, 4 corner suspension similar to JRB (you lay were the UQ is), while the Yeti uses a fully adjustable (while inside the hammock) suspension (the UQ adjusts to were YOU lay)
Both are outstanding pieces of insulation goodness...I tend to need the ability to adjust my UQ during the night and the Yeti allows that. YRMV

In reading the Te-wa blog, it seems the Te-wa is adjustable aong the suspension like the Yeti. Can someone please clarify, this iwll be an important deciding factor for me as well....

From looking at te-wa's video it appears that you adjust the uq by tightening or loosening the shockcord suspension. The yeti slides along the suspension, head to foot, here.
    Both look good, IMO.
