    Are tarps reversible?

I set up my tarp out back so I could treat it w/Permethrin (and because I need the practice setting it up!)

Once I finished spraying, I realized I had it up inside-out - at least, the logo was on the inside, not the outside.
(Yeah, it's an ENO; it's my first tarp and first time hanging; I want to learn more about likes and dislikes before I invest in a better one).

Anyway... Does it matter? Can I simply pitch the tarp inside out? Or is the "outside" the waterproof part? (If so I'll have to treat it again, I guess.)

    Thanks for advice...

I wouldn't recommend treating tarps with permethrin - nothing good can come of it. It's also unnecessary since ticks just aren't going to be climbing onto your tarp. Even if they do, that has no effect on you. Treat bugnet and hammock with permethrin and skip the tarp.

On an ENO, the logo is usually on the outside. There us usually an outside on tarps, so it does matter.

For a PU tarp, you want the coated portion on the inside. This helps protect it from debris falling ln it and compromising it, and from UV light degrading it.

I agree with silvrsrfr. There is no need to treat a tarp at all. Ticks dont reside in trees, just in shrubs, grass, etc. Their food source is generally close to the ground-not on trees. Ticks wont fall onto the tarp, nor is a tarp a viable hanging out to catch a meal place for a tick. I dont even treat my hammocks, and I have never had an issue with ticks being on them (YMMV).

As a general rule I treat any thing that is in contact with me for extended periods of time, socks, pants, shirts, backpack and hammock / bug net. Ticks are a concern but flying / biting bugs are also dealt with. Don't think the tarp would ever need to be treated as I am never really in contact with it.

Unless you bought the more expensive silnylon version (which it sounds like you didn't) your ENO tarp is PU coated.
