    Sorry....changed my mind.

You may have realized that i recently made my first post "time to hang but which one" and found all to be very friendly and knowledgeable so please forgive me for i know not what i say.

After spending hours reading this forum, some old stuff too and trying to decide what hammock would really suit my style i've landed a decision.

Its a...... its a.......Warbonnet traveler with netting and tarp.
I backpack quite a bit and through the winter also and the traveler gives me options like not using the netting in late fall and winter.

Now i need your help again.....which one?
I'm 6.0 165lbs so would i really need a double 1.7 or will i be fine with the single.
The single appears to be a fair weight savings also but i know nothing about hammocks.
    Thanks again.

I would say go double 1.1 - you'll get the pad slot and less stretch, and also the double layers will help prevent bugs from biting you in the butt.

I weigh 200 and use the 1.1 double BB. If you are concerned about only weight and don't use a pad go with a 1.7 single. Other wise 1.1 double is a great way to go. !.7 double is for people over 200 pounds.

i have the warbonnet 1.1oz dbl layer traveller, and i absolutely love it. its my most comfortable top loader. gotta be something in the whipping. thrilled with it. ive had my daughter in it with me plently of times, bouncing around and such as little kids do. combined weight of about 250lbs no problems whatsoever

single 1.7 would be fine for you too. single 1.1 would stretch some, but that's ok for some looking for a light setup

Hey Brandon, what are the SL 1.1 Travelers with line/strap option coming in at weight wise these days? That's got to be one wicked light option.

Cause i was under the impression that the BB netting could only be unzipped rather then completely removed like the traveler.

I see no need for netting from Nov-Apr around here.

Since you alreayd made up your mind, I will throw this idea out there just to possibly cause you more indecision. Bug nets make great winter setups. They trap in a lot of heat, stop a lot of drafts, and can make a big difference. You really notice it when it is cold out and you reach outside of your bug net. Feels like you reached into a freezer.
