DIY SL 10ft Hammock in HyperD 1.6 Robin Egg Blue by RSBTR

Hello All! Just wanted to share a recent hammock build I did for my cousin when she exclaimed she wanted an ENO because all the cool kids on campus had one. I told her I could make one lighter, easier to use, and better looking (that got her attention). I sent her links of every fabric I could think of but in the end she selected Rip Stop By The Rolls Robin Egg Blue. I ordered four yards of the HyperD 1.6oz from RSBTR along with some straps and Titanium Cinch Buckles from Dutch. I dedicated a weekend to it and even had enough time to make a bag for her to carry around campus in. Long story short... she loved it!

Lol! Yea. Zing-it for the ridgeline and 7/64 amsteel for the continuous loops.

Good stuff - is that fifth pic an interior shot of the bag? I'm assuming the mesh is a little pocket there? Cool.

Thanks! Yea. The mesh acts more as a separator than a pocket. It is helpful to keep other items from getting lost is the hammock bundle.

Thanks! The bag was made with two identical sized pieces of nylon, I think 16" x 22". I added 1/2" gross grain to the top 1.5" outside edge, then hemmed the top channels after adding the zippered pocket I made. I then sewed the two pieces together inside out with the noseum bug net and the two shoulder strap ropes looped through the top channels and finished with a knot at each bottom corner. I added more gross grain along the inside seam of the bag and then flipped it right side out and voila. This is the gist, I can go into more detail if you like.
