Some great comments.
Adding to my previous post:
Inadvertant unsnapping, a regular occurance for a figure 4 sleeper has been the problem for me. The snaps are undone by moving the legs and feet and that was too much strain on the fabric. I have an early Argon Zero Burrow, HG may do things differently now.
For the colder temps, sub freezing, I prefer the sewn so there is no gap to be plugged at the cinching of the bottom of the quilt. Sub freezing and windy can be a drag if you feel the draft.
My 40 degree flightjacket from UGQ has snaps and I'm good with that because I do use it as a blanket in warmer weather.

Thanks for this post, I've been wondering if this was standard issue now. When I originally received mine it didn't have the grosgrain, and I eventually had issues with the snaps,(not from snapping and unsnapping I hardly ever opened it up) HG took care of it, no problem, by adding the grosgrain.
Can anyone else confirm this is standard now?
BTW the one I had issues with was Argon67, is this the case for the others who have said they had issues?

Yep Argon 67. I'll never get rid of it because it just feels so smooth and soft. Love it. But yeah, no obvious grosgrain along the edge and a bunch of the snaps pulled through. I know HG will handle it as soon as I ask.

On my sewn footboxes, there appears to be grosgrain reinforcement sewn across the top (under the fabric), since that's the high-stress area (especially for you figure 4 sleepers).
