Going to take the plunge - need some advice

The taxman was kind enough to give me some of my money back and I decided to gift myself a Top and Under Quilt!! I've decided to go with a full length 20* paired with a 20* top quilt. I've read through the forums and checked the websites and have it narrowed down to either the HG Incubator 20* + Burrow 20* or the UGQ Zeppelin 20* + Flight Jacket 20*. (850 GD with the hydrophobic coating in either choice)

It seems like I can't really go wrong either way, but I am kind of in analysis paralysis right now and can't break free :-) The only large differences that I can see, with not actually owning them, are the cut of the HG Incubator or the baffle size on the TQ.

Can any of you who have gone through this dilemma please share what made you go one way or the other?

    Thank you,

    Sean

honestly from all the reviews ive seen you are not going to be swayed either way
your best bet is to put you hand in your pocket and pull out a quater/dabloom/piece of eight/oreo
    and to flip it.........

that said having recently recieved my new phoenix 20 form HG the work-man/lady-ship is superb

so yeah it should come dowen to cost/ weight/ and maybe proximity (cuz waiting is the worst)

I'm curious if there is any major difference in the feel of the shell fabrics between HG and UGQ? Is there anyone that has handled both that can comment on that?

Best way it was described to me and I agree, is that the HG is a little more stream lined and the UGQ a bit more cozy. Both are awesome quilts. Either way you can't go wrong. I'd say buy on of each

All I can suggest is pick based on color, if there is a color you really like that only one of them has.

All I can offer is that I've bought 8 HG quilts, and currently own six (40*, 20* and 0 quilt sets). The Argon fabric is absolutely amazing against the skin. I had to sell my 20* quilts and upgrade, so now all my HG quilts are Argon and DriDown.

You can't go wrong with any of the cottage vendors, but I loves me some HG quilts.

If weight is very important to you, go with HG. If you want a bit more wiggle room and don't mind a bit more weight, go with UGQ.

Check out Enlightened Equipment. So many color choices, temperature ratings, and fill options and my underquilt that I received was wonderful. The only downside is that it took 6 weeks for me to receive mine and they quote you a roughly 4-6 week interval when you order or a slightly less wait time for synthetic. I do wish that I would have chosen a different outside color than Coyote Brown, though...

I have used both quilts from each vendor. I own a UGQ. That is not to say I wouldn't buy a HG one. I just needed mine super quick and UGQ could make it happen. Either one you choose you cannot go wrong!

    I have ordered from both.
When I want to go lightweight in Summer I take HG.
When I want to be warm in cold weather I take UGQ.
I think UGQ is built with beefier construction but it also weighs a little more.
