    Nashville hanging?

I'm hoping someone might know of a good campground.

I plan on being in Nashville with a friend the coming weekend. We planned on being there for the day and coming back late, but I would like to make an overnight out of it.

We have plans and will be busy until about 730-8, so I don't want to have to hike in some where (at least not too far) to set up. If it was just me I would be down for a bit of night hiking but he is new to the game so I want it to be a bit less stressful. If anyone could recommend a place I would be greatful.

Try looking at Montgomery Bell. You can drive up to your spot.

There is also the "Harpeth River Bridge Campground" not too far from downtown. And "Lock A Campground" on the other side of the Cumberland. Both are run by the Engineer Corps and can be reserved online.

Meriwether Lewis Park on the Natchez Trace (near Hohenwald) has a free campground and bathroom (no shower). There is a trail there or you can hike on the Old Natchez Trace
