    Dims. of Vario Stand?

Does anyone have quick access to the dimensions of space between the floor braces and length of the floor braces of the Vario stand? Just ordered one and i'm trying to design/build a cartop adaptation. Thanks

The whole things breaks apart into sections. A cartop carrier should not have to be more than 4' long... I can measure the longest length when I get home from work.

    as in at a Hilton
so i thought i'd go back to a humble singlewide
    just ordered a Clark 250
really have come to enjoy the rooftop
so easy to move my FJ a little to adjust for shade, view,

I know my question may sound crazy, but is there any reason that the hammock stand can't rest on the ground? Please don't take my question as criticism, because it's not. I'm just curious because putting a hammock stand on top of a vehicle high off the ground makes no sense to me whatsoever. Maybe some of y'all can make light of this for me.

Hooch....1st, i'm not seeing myself with the hammock on the roof when in an area with trees
also i'm not suggesting this as some better way to hammock for anyone else
it's just part of my fixation with playing while "High"...up
i build tree houses for part of my living and have climbed since i was a pup

Cool, thanks for your response. Like I said, it wasn't a criticism, just curious. I can understand fascinations of various types, I have a couple myself. I hope it works out for you, keep us posted with the end results.

The center piece of my stand is adjustable (I think they sell this as an accessory). I currently have it maxed out at 73" from the far side of one "foot" to the far side of the other. The center piece has holes every 3" and can be shortened up to about 50" ( I believe but didn't adjust this to confirm) from the far side of one "foot" to the far side of the other. Let me know if you need different/more info. Do you know if yours came with the adjustable center piece?
