Pre Halloween Hang in Linville Gorge ... coming the last week of October ... PRIME Fall camping weather ... counting the days!!!!

Linville Gorge, good friends, good trees to hang in, get to meet the Shug-a-nator in person and eat Livermush in the woods! Life don't get much better than that.

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

Sector 3 (or was that 4? or 9? oh, well - it's mid-NJ) reporting low 70s and mid 50s with a backyard hang last night and one tonight. Sunny days with medium humidity and clear skies. Most likely will hang tomorrow night, too, as rain is coming and I'm testing a big tarp for my wife to use at the MAHHA fall hang. Wouldn't want her to get all wet now.

Shug - how are things in sector 7?

Sorry, had a Jimmy B. moment there.

What's the weather like where you are? I am actively hating work right now. Perfect hiking weather out here, if you don't mind a little drizzle. High is in the 50s today and tomorrow with mid 30s overnight. I'm going straight home and taking the Mayan down to make room for a tarp and camping hammock. No way I'm letting the first night in the 30s go to waste. Nope, no way!

Is it fall where you are? It looks like spring in Atlanta with the flash floods. Best of wishes to all the HF members caught up in that stuff. Remember the drought?
30's? In Panama City Beach, FL this week. Highs in the 90's.

Oh and I remember the drought well, that was when I was down there on the AT. Got to love hiking between water sources to camp next to.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Fall fell, 31 degrees here this morning, blowing about 15 MPH. All summer long the lows were around 50 degrees, and the highs were around 100. It went from that to the lows below freezing and the highs around 70 in just a few days. I'll have to get out in the next couple of nights and see if I'm going to freeze in the hammock.
    It's all in the reflexes.
