Well, the first ODH actual event, PowHaW, is done. Congratulations all and thanks to all who came, participated, worked, contributed, helped with the planning, or in anyway helped get this off the ground. In addition to all who were in attendance I would like to than Gunner76, Gresh and Hotlips for their contributions in knowledge, skills and ideas. Much appreciated guys.

As to PowHaW itself? I think it came off pretty good. we were pretty well set going in and I thought this was not a bad area other than the size limitations. That is the one big drawback to PSP.
The kids seemed to have a blast helping with the projects and were very eager. I spoke with Cameron Lipscomb, on my way out today, and the rangers were very happy with having us there. Cameron said that he wished all of his groups were as trouble free as us and we are welcome back any time. Good job gang.
There was a bit of disorganization on my part, things could have been set up a bit better at the main site. My apologies, I shall en devour to do better next go round.
If anyone saw any thing which could be improved or has suggestions, just let me know! I always want the next hang to be better than the last.
    Now, on to Old Shenandoah!

Thanks CoreyR for all your talks and work with Cameron, and your planning. Thanks to everyone that cooked, all the food was yummy.
Good job and thanks for the hard work in the service projects!
Thanks for everyone coming out, it was good to meet the new people and see the rest. It's funny how it takes me going out of state to meet people that actually live near me..
I suggest a move to site 7 (if I recall correctly, Meckie's site) for the kitchen next time. Seems like it has more usable area.

The roads have been travelled home. The hot showers have been had. The bug checks have been done with a few found! I asked my daughter for her three favorite things about the hang they are as follows: 1. Sleeping in my own hammock! 2. The work projects so everyone could enjoy the park. 3. The new friends I met and all the fun we had especially Ella so when are we going hammock camping again! The food as always was plentiful and absolutely delicious!! I think we could give Hotlips a run for her money! haha! What a great time with some great people. I look forward to the next one as I know my daughter does as well. Oh yeah and I now have a Hammeck stand in the hammered copper and will be looking forward to purchasing a bridge hammock from Jacksrbetter. I should have never laid down in that thing! Thanks to CoreyR for all the organization he put in it was a huge success!

Can everyone look through there gear and let pm me if you find a thing of keys with a red thumb drive and orange browning logo on it. I used my back up key to drive home thinking my keys were in my pack and after looking through everything I can't find them

Ranger Lipscomb thoroughly pleased with our efforts!

We brought along two of Angel's friends, who had never camped in a hammock before. After repositioning the picnic table and fire ring, we set the 3 girls up in a triangle to the rear of our site. 'Bail-out' tent became gear storage/changing room.

Each of the other girls went 'missing' on Saturday, only to be found napping in their hammocks. They sure learn quickly.

Thanks for organizing this PowHaw Corey!

Do you need me to go back over to the park and walk your area again tomorrow?
