Gear Hammock, Sliced Bread, Bacon Glory

I use those $5 hammocks from Five Below. Then I don't need to buy Ratdog any bacon. Then again, they're not weatherproof, and they don't close. I usually just hang mine above my head on my RL. I was surprised that it doesn't get in the way and I don't hit my head on it.

Had anybody tried out the boot hammock from Simply Light Designs? It has a mesh panel on the bottom so your boots can dry while they hang, but still be protected from above. Like so many items in my camping gear, this totally falls into the Want but Don't Need category.
